This exciting day trip (or extended stay option) offers the best of both worlds: a thrilling Big 5 safari in Pilanesberg National Park and time to relax or explore the luxurious Sun City Resort—all with seamless round-trip transfers from Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, followed by a scenic drive through the countryside to the Pilanesberg area. Upon arrival, you'll switch to an open safari vehicle for an unforgettable guided game drive in one of South Africa’s most wildlife-rich and malaria-free reserves.

Day 1 :

Early Morning: Hotel Pickup & Departure

You’ll be collected early (around 6:00 AM) from your accommodation in Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle through scenic North West Province landscapes to Pilanesberg National Park.

Drive time: approximately 2.5 hours.

Day 2 :

Mid-Morning: Pilanesberg Safari

On arrival at Pilanesberg, you’ll switch to an open 4x4 safari vehicle.

Embark on a guided game drive led by a professional ranger, searching for the Big 5 and other wildlife like giraffes, zebras, impalas, hippos, and a wide variety of birds.
